The Prague Centre for Jewish Studies participates on courses of the recently accredited three-year Bachelor’s degree programme of Hebrew and Jewish Studies, which is open for the first time in 2019/2020 and follow the established Hebrew Studies programme running at the FA CU since 1991. The new Bachelor’s degree programme can be taken either separately or in combination with another FA CU programme.

The follow-up Master’s degree Jewish Studies programme will be replaced by a new, also two-year follow-up Master’s degree programme of Hebrew and Jewish Studies. This will be a single programme to be studied either separately or in combination with another FA CU programme. Intensive preparations for the accreditation of this programme are now under way. The programme will open for students in the academic year 2020/2021 at the earliest.

The Centre also supports the teaching of Hebrew Studies as a subject at the Institute of Near Eastern and African Studies, especially instruction provided by native speakers as lectors in Modern Hebrew (since 2012). Some lectures are included simultaneously in the timetables of the Institute of Czech and Comparative Literature, Institute of Germanic Studies and Institute of Philosophy and Religious Studies.
